Chassis # MA444336
Year: 1991
Model: Range Rover GDE #63

We purchased this Range Rover from Haron Land Rover of Fresno (CA) on of all dates, April 30th, 1998, Land Rovers 50th Anniversary. The GDE would serve double duty; as a test bed for products we test, such as OME springs/shocks and Pirelli tires. In addition it would be used for "Off-Road Experience" events.

Left: Michael Green & Rob Whitaker stopped to check maps and their location during an "ORE" Nevada excursion in July 2000.

Left: April 2000; Todd Rueppel, an "ORE" instructor, brings up the tail end of the convoy near Nightingale, NV.
Left: July 2000; Left rear brake over heats east of Fallon, NV on Highway-50… a small stone wedged behind a brake pad was the cause. Here we're cooling the brake with water.
Left: October 2000; ORE event with KGO TV on Saturday, a little exploring on Sunday in Jessup, NV. Weeks later the Range Rover would start routing the course for NVTR2000, and event that would never be… and no more film exists, except one…
Left: November 2000; late at night on Donner Pass (Interstate 80 east) just east of Alta, the Range Rover burst into flames at over 70 mph…. a burst engine oil cooler hose was the cause. Change yours lately?
