We at WCB are firm believers in the ARB Air Locking
differential, having used them in a variety of conditions. When comparing the
Air Locker to standard open diff there is NO comparison, and the same can be
said for the Detroit, Gleason and TrueTrac differentials. The ARB Air Locker is
totally driver controlled, meaning you decide when to engage it. Just flip the switch and you have traction you’ve only dreamed of. Install an
ARB in the front axle too, and look out! Those other locking diff’s have a
mind of their own, thus vehicle control in snow and mud can be a handful! The ARB Air Locker is just as the name implies, "air locking". Any
4WD vehicle will benefit from the ARB Air Locking Diff, and with its fitment you
now have an on board air source (tank fitment optional).
ARB offers you the ultimate in locking
diff's... You're 100% in control, not the diff.

Notes:
#2 =
RD03A Ring gear SPACER must be used with
4.70:1 ratio. Use #272934 BSF.
#3 =When an RD03 ARB is used in Range Rover built prior to 1980, use
#K11300/K11162 Bearings. On later cars use RTC2726.
#3 = When used in Series LR, carrier bearing must be changed, use
#K11300/K11162 Timken.
#4 = Requires Bearing change LM102949/LM102910 = RTC3095
#5 = If vehicle built during 1993, check axle Spline count (10 spline
or 24 spline?).
#6 = Those cars fitted with 4W
ETC, we suggest fitment of Center Diff Lock lever.
#7 = Bearing Cap will need machining to increase ARB clearance;
.060" (on later vehicles).
