This is the "Mexican 109" that Richard Green & Roger Taylor drove
when they escorted the Rover 2000TC through BAJA, Mexico. That's Michael
Green sitting in the tyre (Dublin, CA 1966).
March 4th, 2010; Today a
long awaited email arrived, bearing long lost photos of two importing
events... and LAND-ROVERs, these being the "Mexican 109" and
"Golden Rod". Photos by Roger Taylor; then employed by the Rover Motor
Company of North America Ltd, South San Francisco, CA. Roger was involved
with both projects. These photos are from his collection. Thanks for Roger
& is son Paul.

break. BAJA Mexico 1966.

Above: Along the coast in
BAJA. On the way down they came across an old man walking south,
he'd been at the doctors south of San Diego... needless to
say they gave the old boy a ride home.

Note that 109" has wrong CA Lic plates on it...
somehow the 2000TC ended with them!
